Inspiration

This Blog is inspired ..............💖

in memory of my Dad, Victoriano (Victor) Benigno (Benny) Molina who was always interested in his Mexico Ancestry and tried to learn about his own history. At a time before the internet, his research and record keeping was done only by piles of books and snail mail in those days.

Dad was not raised in El Paso, Texas with his siblings. At a very young age, maybe 5 years old, he was given to his Aunt Justa Molina Banuelas and her husband Uncle Refugio Banuelas  who lived in Long Beach, California  where he was raised as an only child. He did not see his mother and siblings again until he was 20 years old when he visited El Paso, Texas. At this time, his Dad Benigno passed years before in 1927 in El Paso, Texas.

THIS ARTICLE SHOULD READ "TO VISIT GRANDFATHER" NOT FATHER:

He traveled to Jimenez, Chihuahua, Mexico for a first time ever, to meet his 104 year old Grandfather, Macario Molina and many Molina cousins. For certain, he did not know what he would find there, but he said his trip was a forever a treasure.  In this respect, I realize I 'take after' my Dad with piles of books, bookmarked internet pages and DNA. He’d be amazed at our modern research tools. I know if Dad were here today, he'd enjoy working on this site with me and enjoy the findings. 💖

THE ODDEST THING IS THAT TWO MONTHS LATER, IN MAY 1910, DAD'S GRANDFATHER, MACARIO MOLINA REGISTERED DAD AS VICTORIANO MOLINA IN JIMENEZ, MX.?? I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS WAS? HERE IS THE MEXICO RECORD BELOW AND THE USA BIRTH CERTIFICATE ABOVE. PERHAPS THEY WANTED HIM LISTED IN TWO COUNTRIES?
